Why I Still Heart DM
It was a fantastic evening. Rode the Metro, sang every word, enjoyed friends, reached out and touched faith. Never a disappointment, never a dull moment. We all know it's hard to keep up with the Jones', but Gahan, Gore, and Fletcher have managed to do just that and more. Not too shabby for three guys who have been rockin' and rollin' for 29 years.
At 48, Dave Gahan can still make the girls swoon with a little booty shakin', having just recovered from surgery in late May. "The man" is the man, if you know what I mean, and Martin Gore can still make us fall in love with smooth vocals and romantic ballads.
If I could have requested five songs from Juanes, they would have been (in order): Strangelove, Enjoy the Silence, World in My Eyes, Blasphemous Rumors, In Your Room. Although, we all knew Enjoy the Silence was coming before tickets even went on sale. Only two outta three made last night's set, and that's better than I could have hoped. I was really impressed and surprised that In Your Room made the set list, seeming how it never made US charts. Grateful they didn't let me leave without a little Personal Jesus in the second encore. SECOND!
This morning, however... 'Never again is what you swore the time before...'
